From elementary schools to universities, Obi empowers students of all ages to enjoy meals alongside their peers, creating a more inclusive dining experience. Instead of being separated and fed by a teacher or aide, our school-aged users can share in the important social aspects of lunchtime.

Lunchtime serves as an opportunity for social connection, storytelling, decompression, play, and nourishment to fuel a long school day. Obi makes it possible for those with upper extremity limitations!

"We had a student that was eating the same meal daily from the school lunch options because it was the only one he was able to feed himself with a fork. Once he started using the Obi, it opened up possibilities of so many other foods he could feed himself, as he could eat foods with a spoon independently."

“I really, really see how much it changes things for him in the conversations he’s able to have and the interactions with his peers he’s able to have when there isn’t an adult shadowing him.”

When I used it for the first time, it made me feel like I could be really independent with feeding myself,” said Davis. “It was like, ‘Hey, I might be able to use this to go eat with my friends and not have to rely on other people to help feed me.
